PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia reported 39 more Covid-19 cases on Thursday (May 7), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 6,467.

A total of 74 more patients were discharged in the same 24-hour span, which means 4,776 patients have recovered from Covid-19 since the outbreak began.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this at the Health Ministry’s daily Covid-19 media briefing on Thursday.There are only 1,584 active cases being treated at the country’s health facilities at present. There are currently 19 patients being treated at intensive care units with eight on ventilator support.Article type: free
