Twelve Bangladeshi nationals attempting to enter Malaysia under false pretenses as trainees of the Malaysian Fisheries Academy were detained at KLIA.
A group of 12 Bangladeshi nationals attempting to impersonate Malaysia n Fisheries Academy trainees were apprehended at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport ( KLIA ) on Friday, January 24th. According to Ibrahim Mohd Yusof, director of the KLIA Immigration Department, the individuals were initially observed wearing uniforms and exhibited suspicious behavior that raised concerns. Upon inspection, authorities discovered that the documentation presented by the group was not authentic.
The KLIA immigration team promptly detained the Bangladeshi nationals and issued Not-To-Land (NTL) notices to each individual, preventing their entry into Malaysia. Action was taken under Section 28(3)(b) of the Immigration Act for the alleged submission of falsified documents. Ibrahim Mohd Yusof emphasized that the KLIA Immigration team remains committed to closely monitoring all individuals entering the country to ensure strict adherence to established requirements and standards.
