Ipoh-based mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering firm, Kumpulan Kee Ming Berhad, plans to raise RM25.32 million through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia. The IPO involves the issuance of 66.63 million new shares at 38 sen each, with proceeds primarily allocated to project implementation, working capital, performance bonds, and investments in systems and human resources. The listing marks a new phase for the company after 13 years in the M&E engineering industry, enabling Kee Ming to undertake larger projects and retain local talent.

Menurut Pengarah Urusan Kumpulan Kee Ming Berhad, Liew Kar Hoe, tawaran IPO itu melibatkan terbitan awam 66.63 juta saham baharu. “Hasil digunakan terutamanya bagi menyokong pelaksanaan projek masa hadapan termasuk penyediaan modal kerja dan bon prestasi, selain pelaburan dalam sistem dan sumber manusia. “Penyenaraian awam itu menandakan fasa baharu dalam perjalanan syarikat selepas kira-kira 13 tahun beroperasi dalam industri kejuruteraan M&E,” katanya kepada pemberita dalam sidang media sempena Majlis Pelancaran Prospektus Kumpulan Kee Ming Berhad di sebuah hotel di Ipoh hari ini. Majlis dilancarkan Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad. Yang turut hadir, Menteri Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi, Chang Lih Kang. Kata Kar Hoe, IPO itu akan memperkukuh keupayaan operasi syarikat dan membolehkan Kee Ming melaksanakan projek yang lebih besar serta lebih kompleks merentasi segmen perindustrian, komersial, kediaman dan tenaga bersih, termasuk infrastruktur awam serta kemudahan sambungan. “Hasil IPO akan dimanfaatkan secara strategik dengan RM13 juta diperuntukkan sebagai modal kerja projek, RM4 juta bagi bon prestasi, selain peruntukan untuk pengembangan pasukan projek, pembelian sistem Perancangan Sumber Perusahaan dan keperluan operasi lain. “Sebagai syarikat yang bermula di Ipoh, kami mahu mengekalkan bakat tempatan dan menyediakan platform jangka panjang untuk mereka berkembang bersama syarikat. Penyenaraian awam membolehkan kami melakukan perkara itu dengan lebih berkesan,” katanya. Kumpulan Kee Ming merupakan penyedia penyelesaian kejuruteraan M&E yang komprehensif, meliputi kerja-kerja elektrik voltan tinggi, sederhana dan rendah, sistem voltan ekstra rendah, serta perkhidmatan mekanikal seperti sistem penyaman udara dan pengudaraan mekanikal serta perlindungan kebakaran. Syarikat itu turut terlibat dalam infrastruktur tenaga bersih termasuk pemasangan fotovoltaik solar dan penyelesaian pengecasan kenderaan elektrik . –
