Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal, the Bukit Gantang MP, suggests expelled Bersatu MPs should consider remaining independent to focus on serving the people. He believes this will help them to avoid distractions from party politics and focus on the electorate.
Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal, the Member of Parliament for Bukit Gantang , believes that expelled Bersatu MPs should consider remaining as independent representatives to focus on serving the people. He stated that in the current political climate, people are growing weary of party politics, which often distracts from delivering services to the constituents.
During the launch of the Skim Usahawan Bangkit Parlimen Bukit Gantang at his service center, he emphasized that being independent could be more beneficial as it avoids the constraints and demands that come with party membership, enabling representatives to prioritize the welfare of their constituents.\Syed Abu Hussin highlighted that the primary responsibility of an elected official, whether in Parliament or the State Legislative Assembly, is to serve the people, rather than being overly bound by party dictates or internal maneuvering. He noted that the power of a party president to expel members is a common occurrence in party politics and should not overshadow the crucial task of serving the public. He believes that the electorate's choice should be paramount, and the focus should remain on delivering services, regardless of party affiliation. Addressing the future of the expelled Bersatu MPs, he advised them to avoid disappointment or emotional reactions. Instead, they should continue serving their constituencies. He reiterated that politics is about service and that he would support the Prime Minister if it benefits the people. He also stated that he would assist any fellow MP, including Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, if they require help for their constituents. \Syed Abu Hussin mentioned that any decision to join a specific party, including UMNO, requires careful consideration and should not be rushed. He emphasized that his decisions are based on what is best for the people, not on following others. He stated that he ran for office based on his own strength, focusing on looking after and helping his constituents. The people want genuine service, not political games, he concluded. The Skim Usahawan Bangkit initiative, which was launched at the service center, reflects his commitment to fostering economic opportunities for the people of Bukit Gantang. He reiterated that his focus is on empowering the local community and providing them with the support they need to thrive. Syed Abu Hussin's approach underscores a commitment to prioritizing the needs of the electorate above all else, emphasizing the importance of delivering tangible results and building a strong, service-oriented relationship with the people he represents. This stance reflects a growing sentiment among some politicians that focusing on constituency service can be more effective than adhering strictly to party lines, especially in an environment where voters are increasingly disillusioned with partisan squabbles. He believes in individual strength, independent of party affiliations, and is dedicated to serving his constituents effectively and providing them with support for their prosperity. His emphasis on service and the welfare of the people showcases a dedication to the well-being of his constituents and the community
