Chong: Our mission is to connect one billion people in the world to the healing power of nature. MORE than 80 brands have received recognition in the inaugural Malaysia Health and Beauty Awards , for demonstrating exceptional quality and consumer trust within the nation’s growing wellness landscape.

Themed “Celebrating Health. Honouring Beauty. ”, the awards ceremony was organised in partnership with Big Pharmacy and Caring Pharmacy under Big Caring Group. At the gala event, health and wellness products were awarded under three pillars, namely Malaysia’s Choice, Best Seller and Experts’ Choice.

More than 200,000 votes were cast nationwide, reflecting Malaysian consumers’ choices, for brands that consistently performed in-market and stood up to professional evaluation. Blackmores Sdn Bhd country manager Chong Kim Heng thanked customers and retailers for their support.

“Our mission is to connect one billion people in the world to the healing power of nature through this heritage brand from Australia. “In this ageing society, we thrive to promote longevity and beauty, and help people to age healthily,” he said, adding that there are about 55 Blackmores products in the retail market here.

Among them, seven products won in their respective categories in the Experts’ Choice pillar while 83 products won in their respective categories in the Best Seller pillar. A total of 19 health and wellness products won in various categories under the Malaysia’s Choice pillar. Malaysia Health and Beauty Awards organising chairperson Wong Siew Lai said the awards reflected real consumer behaviour, real product confidence and the growing importance of trust in today’s health and beauty landscape.

“Malaysians today are more discerning and they are choosing products that deliver consistent results, not just those driven by trends. “By bringing together consumer choice, market performance and expert evaluation onto one platform, the awards offer a broader perspective on the products and brands Malaysians genuinely trust and continue to choose in their daily lives,” she said in her opening speech during the awards ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur.

Speaking on behalf of the Malaysian Health and Beauty Association, former Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Nor Hisham Abdullah said the association has established itself as a definitive benchmark for excellence in this sector.

“They serve, innovate and, more importantly, they earn the strongest currency of all, which is trust. “As we celebrate the honorees, let us remember that excellence is a promise renewed every day to our consumers, to our communities and to ourselves,” Dr Nor Hisham added.
