Feb 11 (Reuters) - Instagram's leader is ⁠set to face questions in court for the first time on Wednesday about whether ⁠the Meta-owned app's design is fueling a youth mental health crisis.

PUTRAJAYA: Tan Sri Azam Baki says he no longer owns any shares in any company, inlcuding Velocity Capita l Partner Bhd. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner said claims that he still holds shares in the company are false.

"I don't own any shares of any company. My account is zero," he said during a press conference on Wednesday . Azam said he proactively declared his shareholdings in July 2025 through the official Human Resource Management Information System well before the five-year deadline stipulated under civil service regulations."It is a government system. Within a second, he can print it out," he said. Addressing the controversy surrounding Velocity Capital Bhd, Azam said he did not profit from the sale of Velocity Capital shares. He said it is not illegal for government officers to trade in shares, provided there is no conflict of interest and proper declaration is made. "As a citizen of Malaysia, I have a right to buy shares, trade it, as long as it's not illegal," he said. Azam also dismissed allegations he holds shares in other companies, including Awanbiru Technology Bhd, and challenged critics to produce evidence if they believe otherwise.He said all he funded all previous share tradings with his personal savings, pension and retirement gratuity, not loans or external sources.He reiterated that asset declarations by senior civil servants is governed by internal administrative procedures.Azam said any narrative suggesting he still holds shares worth hundreds of thousands of ringgit is defamatory and not supported by official records.MACC sets target score of 60 in Corruption Perceptions Index within two to three yearsSipitang declared flood emergency, 24 people evacuated
