Entrepreneur Development Ministry, TNB strengthen cooperation to help MSMEs face impact of global energy crisis PETALING JAYA: Tenaga Nasional Bhd is ready to assist in the investigation of the serious power-related disruption at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1.
It said checks on its electricity supply system to KLIA found it was in good working condition on the day of the incident on Apr 18. "No disruptions in TNB's electricity supply system were also recorded on that day. Regardless, TNB is ready to provide the necessary technical cooperation to the relevant parties to assist in further investigations," it said in a statement on Monday . TNB added that this would include supporting ongoing mitigation measures and subsequent improvements to the electrical supply system at the airport. On Monday, the Transport Ministry revealed that the power disruption on Apr 18 caused a breakdown of the Baggage Handling System . The ministry said the disruption was caused by a tripped 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear reserve at the Bukit Raja substation at about 4.54pm. This caused a significant voltage dip in the power supply for KLIA. The dip led to a failure in the BHS controller.
