U Mobile introduces its ULTRA Tourist Plan, offering foreign tourists a free eSIM with 100GB of 5G/4G data for 24 hours upon arrival at KLIA (Terminals 1 & 2), KKIA, and LIA, supporting the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
In conjunction with the launch of 5G in-building coverage at various transportation hubs including Kuala Lumpur International Airport , Kota Kinabalu International Airport and Langkawi International Airport ,In a move which also supports Visit Malaysia 2026 , U Mobile has introduced its first ULTRA Tourist Plan which can be redeemed and activated upon arrival in Malaysia at four international airports.
Foreign tourist would just need to scan U Mobile’s dedicated QR codes at the airport and redeem a free eSIM with preloaded 100GB of data that’s valid for 24 hours.This free Tourist eSIM essentially comes with a 24-hour ULTRA5G trial where users can enjoy 100GB of high-speed 5G/4G data with no speed cap for 24 hours. The U Mobile ULTRA Tourist Plan is offered for non-Malaysian tourists who have scanned the QR. Existing U Mobile subscriptions are not eligible for the ULTRA5G Trial eSIM and each foreign tourist can only redeem once for the lifetime of the offer. However, take note that the plan is exclusively available in eSIM form and there’s no option to request for a physical SIM pack. Most modern smartphones released in the past 3 years have eSIM support and you can refer toHow to redeem ULTRA5G eSIM with free 100GB data? To redeem, you’ll need to be at KLIA Terminal 1, KLIA Terminal 2, KKIA and LIA arrival areas and scan the dedicated U Mobile QR codes. We suggest snapping a photo of the QR code for your own reference. On the 24-hour ULTRA5G Trial page, you’ll need to agree to the T&C and tap redeem, and then follow the instructions which will require you to verify your ID and face. Once completed, you will receive your eSIM details via email and you then can proceed to install the eSIM on your device.After the 24-hour ULTRA5G Trial period is over, you can continue to use the eSIM for data access by purchasing high-speed data pass which all come with uncapped 5G/4G speeds and hotspot usage.If you do not purchase a plan after the 24-hour trial, the line will remain active for 14 days and you can still receive incoming calls for free.
