KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 — Tan Sri Siti Norma Yaakob , the former Chief Judge of Malaya and a trailblazer as the first woman to hold the position, passed away this afternoon at KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital at the age of 85. Her death, a result of pneumonia, occurred at 1:51 PM.

Siti Norma, born in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan on July 6, 1940, etched her name in history through numerous firsts, including being the first woman appointed as a High Court Judge, a Court of Appeal Judge, and a Federal Court Judge in Malaysia.
