KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has appointed Datuk Mohammad Faiz Azmi Mohammad Azmi as the new executive chairman for a period of three years effective from June 16, 2024 to June 15, 2027.
MELAKA: A 35-year-old contractor has claimed trial to charges of allegedly causing grievous hurt to his girlfriend and sexually assaulting her daughter.
According to the charge sheet, See allegedly inflicted severe injuries on the 38-year-old woman by repeatedly striking and punching her face and limbs, in addition to kicking her back, resulting in fractures to several parts of her body. The offence was allegedly committed at a residential unit in Taman Desa Bertam, Melaka Tengah district, around 11:28 PM on May 7.Deputy public prosecutor Wardah Isshar appeared for the prosecution, while the accused, who is a father of five children, was represented by lawyer Kelvinder Singh Sidhu.
