A woman died and five others, including two children, were injured in a collision between a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and a car near the Caltex Laloh petrol station in Kuala Krai. The incident occurred around 7.15 am on Eid al-Adha. The victim, Safinaz Razmi, 52, driving a Perodua Bezza, died at the scene. The MPV, a Toyota Alphard, had six occupants including two injured boys. Fire and Rescue Department personnel responded to the call.
KUALA KRAI: Seorang wanita maut manakala lima lagi cedera termasuk dua kanak-kanak dalam kemalangan di pagi Aidiladha hari ini melibatkan sebuah kenderaan pelbagai guna dengan kereta berhampiran stesen minyak Caltex Laloh, di sini.
Dalam kejadian sekitar 7.15 pagi itu, mangsa Safinaz Razmi, 52, yang menaiki kereta jenis Perodua Bezza maut di lokasi selepas disahkan oleh petugas Kementerian Kesihatan. Ketua Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Kuala Krai, Nik Ahmad Afsham Nik Pa berkata, sebaik sahaja menerima panggilan kecemasan pada pukul 7.18 pagi sepasukan anggota terus ke lokasi. Katanya, pemeriksaan mendapati enam penumpang, termasuk dua kanak-kanak lelaki yang cedera berada dalam MPV jenis Toyota Alphard.
“Seorang wanita menaiki Perodua Bezza telah meninggal dunia, manakala manakala tiga lagi mengalami kecederaan,” katanya ketika dihubungi hari ini. Nik Ahmad Afsham memberitahu, mayat mangsa yang maut diserahkan kepada pihak polis untuk tindakan lanjut. Katanya, mangsa yang cedera pula dihantar ke Hospital Sultan Ismail Petra Kuala Krai untuk rawatan lanjut. -UTUSAN
