“This project is fully financed through MAHB’s private financing initiative, without involving government guarantees,” he told reporters in a news conference at Parliament here. Loke said LTAKK, the second-busiest airport in Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur International Airport , recorded a passenger capacity of 9.4 million passengers per year, exceeding the current capacity in 2019.
Loke emphasised that the LTAKK upgrading project is a government commitment to ensuring that the infrastructure in Sabah not only meets current needs but is also ready to handle future demand.
