The Malaysian Public Service Department (JPA) is offering the King's Scholarship (BYDPA) 2025 to support the academic pursuits of exceptional Malaysians in strategic fields.
The Malaysian Public Service Department ( JPA ) is inviting outstanding and visionary Malaysians to apply for the King's Scholarship ( BYDPA ) 2025. The King's Scholarship aims to sponsor Malaysian citizens who excel in both academic and non-academic fields to pursue postgraduate studies (Masters and Doctoral) at full-time in both local and international universities.
The primary objective of this program is to recognize exceptional Malaysian citizens, both academically and morally, who will further their education in fields that benefit the nation. \This scholarship is offered to students pursuing Masters (Research) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degrees full-time at local higher education institutions or world-renowned universities in strategic fields that have a significant impact on national development.\These fields include Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Economics, Law, Islamic Finance, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). General eligibility criteria include being a Malaysian citizen and under 35 years old on January 1st of the application year. Specific eligibility criteria include: (a) Possessing an outstanding academic record: \- Masters Candidates: A Bachelor's degree recognized by the Government with a CGPA of at least 3.75 or first class honors, or equivalent. \- Doctoral Candidates: A Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree recognized by the Government with a CGPA of at least 3.75 or first class honors, or equivalent. \(b) Obtaining an unconditional offer or having commenced full-time studies in the application year at an institution of higher education listed by JPA according to the field of study. \(c) Pursuing a Masters degree through a research-only mode that requires the submission of a research paper, dissertation, or thesis. \(d) Involvement in the creation of works containing creative and innovative elements such as writing, artistic or technological design, etc.: \- Masters Candidates: Active involvement of the candidate is an advantage. \- Doctoral Candidates: Active involvement of the candidate is mandatory. \The application process is entirely online, accessible through the official JPA portal at https://bmipenajaan.jpa.gov.my. Applications will be open from 3rd to 28th February 2025. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to thoroughly read and understand the application requirements and procedures before submitting their applications through the provided online portal. After completing the online form, applicants must print, sign the application form, attach the necessary supporting documents, and send the complete documents to JPA by or on 7th March 2025.
