Ozzlyn Wati, a Malaysian actress and wife of Johan Mahnowar, has sparked discussions on social media by appearing in a full hijab after her pilgrimage to Mecca in June 2022. Many claim that her decision to wear the headscarf is temporary, but Ozzlyn has dismissed such rumors.
PETALING JAYA: Pelakon Ozzlyn Wati memilih untuk kekal tenang apabila penampilannya bertudung masih menjadi bualan dalam kalangan pengguna media sosial, termasuk ada yang mendakwa perubahan itu tidak akan kekal lama.
Ozzlyn atau Rozlinawaty Ismail, 45, berkata, dia menyedari ada segelintir individu yang terkejut melihat dirinya bertudung, malah ada juga yang menganggap penampilan tersebut hanya bersifat sementara.
“Ramai yang kata, ‘Oh, dah bertudung ke? Tak tahu pula. Artis kan, tidak lama lagi terbanglah tudung itu’ “Saya baca komen ini di portal yang memuat naik hantaran gambar saya tidak bertudung dan ada yang komen sebegitu,” katanya menerusi satu hantaran di Threads miliknya. Ozzlyn menegaskan bahawa dia bertudung bukan untuk sesiapa, sebaliknya kerana Allah serta menyerahkan sepenuhnya urusan dirinya kepada-Nya termasuk segala kata-kata dan fitnah yang diterima.
“Alhamdulillah pakai tudung bukan untuk sesiapa, tetapi kerana Allah. Apa pun saya sudah serahkan segalanya kepada Allah termasuk setiap butir kata dan fitnah daripada sesiapa sahaja,” ujarnya. Untuk rekod, Ozlynn Waty telah tampil dengan imej berhijab sepenuhnya selepas pulang menunaikan ibadah haji pada Jun 2024.
