Chang Wei-lun capitalized on securing his visa to play at the US$5 million PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers by taking a share of the lead. He fired a bogey-free seven-under-par 64 along with Sadom Kaewkanjana from Thailand. Yubin Jang and Joaquin Niemann followed with 65s, and Peter Uihlein carded 66.
