Universiti Malaya (UM) has filed a police report after red paint was splashed on the doors of a KK Mart outlet on campus. The university condemned the incident and is cooperating with authorities in the investigation. This follows a recent controversy involving halal-certified sandwich packs sold at a KK Concept Store on UM's grounds, leading to the closure of two KK Super Mart outlets for inspections.

PETALING JAYA: Universiti Malaya has filed a report with the Royal Malaysia Police after red paint was splashed on the doors of a KK Mart outlet on UM's grounds on Tuesday .

"UM is committed to providing full cooperation with the authorities in conducting the investigation," it added. "UM also calls on anyone with relevant information about this incident to step forward and assist with the investigation," the statement read. On Jan 10, two KK Super Mart outlets in UM were closed following inspections by the Islamic Development Department and the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry.
