The Shenzhen-based start-up, formerly known as Meentropy Technology Hangzhou Co Ltd, is hiring for the day of its addition to the US sanctions list. Its specialised services involved the company in publishing images detailing US military activity during Operation Epic Fury and were added to the US Treasury’s Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list.
MizarVision, a start-up that specializes in open-source intelligence ( OSINT ) and published images of US military activity during an operation, has been added to the US sanctions list.
The company displayed defiance towards US strength in their recruitment advertisement, countering the White House certification with 'The White House certification is the best advertisement'. The company was accused of providing satellite imagery to enable Iran's military strikes against US forces. A place on the US SDN list implies that American persons and entities are banned from conducting transactions with the company, effectively cutting it off from the US-led financial system and barring it from most international operations.
The Chinese foreign ministry criticised the US accusation, describing it as ‘maliciously linking and smearing’ China with the war on Iran, while pledging to ‘firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests’ of Chinese companies
