BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Marine Police under the Operations Department, the Royal Brunei Police Force recently conducted a joint operation with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Royal Customs and Excise Department codenamed Operasi Teluk and detected several contraband items in the area of Kampong Menunggol .
The discovery was made after several suspicious boxes were found near an unoccupied wooden house during a patrol, following information from the public.The inspection confirmed that the boxes contained contraband, while other contraband were also discovered inside the house.Among the items found were 1,000 cartons and eight packets of various types of cigarettes, 48 bottles and 119 cans of alcohol of different brands, as well as 100 boxes and 32 pieces of assorted firecrackers. All confiscated contraband items have been handed over to the RCED of Brunei Darussalam for further action.
