SIBU: One man was killed while two others were injured after a cargo lorry rammed into the rear of an oil tanker lorry parked at the roadside along Jalan Batu 12 on Tuesday . The Fire and Rescue Services Department said in a statement it received a distress call at 12.

Rescue personnel initially faced difficulties in freeing the trapped victims due to the narrow and confined working space.Firefighters used a telescopic ram to pry open the wreckage and a cutter to remove the twisted metal parts trapping the victims.The second victim, Maxwell Bernard Empam, 22, sustained injuries and received medical attention.Over 1,200 DUI cases convicted last year, says Transport Ministry
