This event is an important one that is always celebrated every year by all Muslims. 2. 1 Ramadan 1446 (2 March 2025) - Beginning of Ramadan Ramadan is the 9th month and the most sacred month in the Islamic calendar. Like other Islamic months, this month has 29 or 30 days. During this month, Muslims are required to fast. Ramadan is a time for Muslims to reflect on themselves, pray, do good deeds, and spend time with family and friends. 3. 17 Ramadan 1446 (18 March 2025) - Nuzul Al-Quran The event of Nuzul Al-Quran is the revelation of the first verse of the Quran to Muhammad, continuing in stages until it is complete as the Quran we have today. 4. 1 Syawal 1446 (31 March 2025) - Hari Raya Puasa/ Aidilfitri Hari Raya Aidilfitri is celebrated on 1 Syawal in the Hijri calendar. This celebration is also known as Hari Raya Puasa. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a celebration celebrated by Muslims worldwide, regardless of race, to mark the end of Ramadan, during which Muslims have diligently performed the fast. 5. 1 Zulhijjah 1446 (29 May 2025) - Beginning of Zulhijjah The month of Zulhijah is known as the Hajj month and is also chosen by Allah SWT to bestow special rewards on every Muslim. The superiority of Zulhijah is explained through the words of Allah SWT in the Quran, which means: 'By the time of dawn. And (by) the ten nights.' (Surah al-Fajr, verses 1-2). 6. 10 Zulhijjah 1446 (7 June 2025) - Hari Raya Korban/ Aidiladha Hari Raya Korban or Hari Raya Haji is a celebration observed by Muslims worldwide. The practice during Hari Raya Aidiladha involves the slaughter of an animal and the distribution of the meat into three equal portions for family, relatives and friends, and the poor. The aim is to ensure that every Muslim can enjoy the meat. 7. 1 Muharam 1447 (27 June 2025) - Beginning of Muharam/ Maal Hijrah Awal Muharram or Maal Hijrah is an important day for Muslims because it marks a significant event in Islamic history, commemorating the Prophet Muhammad SAW's migration from Mecca to Medina in 622 AD. This designation is to commemorate the importance of the Hijrah date, which marks a paradigm shift in the history of Islam. 8. 12 Rabiulawal 1447 (5 September 2025) - Maulidur Rasul Maulud Nabi Muhammad SAW or Maulidur Rasul is the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, the last prophet sent by Allah in Islam. Every year on this day, Muslims around the world will hold celebrations to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad SAW's birthday by holding events such as processions, lectures, and others. Sara Aid to See Improvements with RM13 Billion Allocation in Budget 2025The 'Sumbangan Asas Rahmah' (Sara) aid distribution starting Wednesday will see enhancements due to increased Budget 2025 allocations for Sara and 'Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah' (STR) assistance to RM13 billion, the highest ever.
