Kuala Krai Fire and Rescue Station chief Nik Ahmad Afsham Nik Pa said the department received an emergency call at about 8.30 pm before dispatching a firefighting team. He said a total of 21 personnel from BBP Kuala Krai, BBP Sungai Durian and the Guchil Volunteer Fire Team were involved in the operation. “Upon arrival, we found that a premises selling Chinese prayer items was about 90 per cent destroyed by the fire,” he told Bernama at the scene.
