PEMINAT sukan tanah air terpaksa melupakan hasrat melihat jaguh perseorangan lelaki profesional negara Lee Zii Jia beraksi pada Sukan Komanwel 2022, selepas dia sah menarik diri daripada temasya di Birmingham, England yang dijadual dari 28 Julai hingga 8 Ogos. Zii Jia berkata, dia memutuskan untuk tidak membuat penampilan pada Sukan Komanwel disebabkan jadual padat yang diharunginya sejak kebelakangan ini, di samping berhasrat memberi tumpuan sepenuhnya kepada Kejohanan Badminton Dunia di Tokyo dari 22 hingga 28 Ogos.
