Residents complain about illegal parking along Jalan Jambu due to a lack of proper parking facilities. Stagnant water at the construction site has also raised concerns about a potential dengue outbreak.
ONGOING work to renovate and extend a mall along Jalan Jambu in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur is adding to congestion in the area.
Hoarding used to separate the construction area from Jalan Jambu has been in place since the project was approved in 2014, he said.“When errant motorists park next to the hoarding, it affects traffic flow,” he said.“There is no conclusion date for the construction,” Yee said, referring to the development notice at the site.It appears that work on the site has halted for some time.
Yee said this was a potential breeding ground for Aedes mosquitoes, raising concerns of a dengue outbreak among residents.
