IOI Properties Group rebrands Tropicana Gardens Mall in Petaling Jaya as IOI Mall Damansara, introducing policy updates and improvements. The move aligns with the company's strategy to consolidate its malls under the 'IOI Mall' brand.

IOI Properties Group has officially rebranded Tropicana Gardens Mall as IOI Mall Damansara. The name change, unveiled last month with updated signage and a video announcement, marks a significant shift for the Petaling Jaya shopping destination. Along with the new name comes a range of policy updates and improvements. Notably, pets are no longer allowed inside the mall starting this month, although lifts near the Just Pets Megastore remain accessible for pet-related services.

Other changes include free parking for the first three hours and the removal of glass panels on the walkway to the Surian MRT station, allowing for more natural sunlight. This rebranding aligns with IOI Properties Group's strategy to consolidate all its malls under the 'IOI Mall' umbrella. IOI Mall Damansara joins a growing family of IOI-branded malls across Malaysia, such as IOI City Mall in Putrajaya and IOI Mall Puchong. The acquisition of Tropicana Gardens Mall for RM680 million in July 2024 by IOI Properties Group signifies a strong investment in the mall's future.'We believe it will provide a strong recurring income as it follows the successful model of IOI Malls and leverages on its brand in providing a vibrant lifestyle experience filled with dynamic offerings,' said Lee Yeow Seng, the company's group chief executive. Despite the name change, IOI Mall Damansara continues to offer a diverse range of attractions, including retail stores like H&M, Village Grocer, and Daiso, dining options, and entertainment venues such as Golden Screen Cinemas and Loud Speaker family karaoke. Its direct connection to the Surian MRT station ensures easy accessibility for public transport users.
