Woman rescued from ocean floor after plunge from Oceanside pier [Breaking]
Oceanside lifeguards rescued a woman from the ocean after she went over the end of the city’s pier Tuesday morning, a police spokesperson said.
Witnesses called 911 shortly before 11 a.m., reporting that they’d seen a woman jump into the water and not resurface, Oceanside police spokesman Jennifer Atenza said. Lifeguards responded from the pier and found the woman on the ocean floor, Oceanside Battalion Chief Wes McGee said.They pulled her to the surface, where a Harbor Police boat brought them on board. She was out of the water about 10 minutes after crews were sent to the scenes
Emergency workers administered life-saving measures as they took her to shore, and then to a local hospital for treatment.
