A WOMAN who served her boyfriend with drinks that contained poison has been found guilty of murder,The crime, which took place two years ago in India’s Kerala state, happened as the woman, identified as Greeshma, 24, wanted to get rid of her boyfriend Sharon Raj as she had accepted a marriage proposal arranged by her family.

A court heard that Sharon, who was then 23 years old, had visited Greeshma at her home where he was served some juice and an ayurvedic concoction. When he was about to leave, Sharon complained to a friend who had accompanied him that he had stomach pains.It was later determined that he had been poisoned with paraquat.

The young couple had been dating for a few years, but Greeshma eventually felt that he was getting in the way of her intention to marry someone else.
