The incident occurred in Kampung Tasek Berangan, Pasir Mas, Kelantan, on February 1st at 12:40 PM, and the woman reportedly made off with RM2,500 in cash. Many online users commented that the woman's swiftness suggested she was a seasoned criminal. The video also sparked discussions about precautionary measures to take during house gatherings to prevent theft.

Seorang pengguna media sosial berkata wanita tersebut dari awal telah menyedari terdapat beg tangan yang ditinggalkan di atas rak almari. Di samping itu, ada yang berkata kewujudan rakaman CCTV itu juga dapat mengelakkan orang lain daripada dituduh mencuri beg tangan tersebut. Ambil Langkah Berjaga-Jaga Sewaktu Adakan Kenduri Di Rumah Dalam pada itu, beberapa individu turut berkongsi langkah yang harus diambil ketika mengadakan kenduri di rumah untuk mengelak daripada berlakunya kecurian.
