The 29-second clip, captured unintentionally during a live stream, depicts a man slapping a woman in a public area of a shopping mall in Kota Warisan, Selangor. A woman exits the mall complex before a man, holding a child's hand, approaches her from outside. He then strikes her publicly, followed by verbal reprimands, after which she quickly leaves the building.
According to New Straits Times, Sepang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman confirmed that they received a report from the victim's sister. Norhizam stated that the woman in the video is the 35-year-old sister of the woman who reported the incident, and that the man, believed to be in his 50s, is her husband. The video quickly sparked outrage on social media, with netizens expressing concern for the woman's safety and condemning the man's actions. Users questioned how he could be so brazen as to abuse her in public, raising fears about the potential for further violence within their home. While the precise location of the incident remains unconfirmed, some social media users speculated that it took place at KIPMall in Kota Warisan.
