Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 12:30 a.m. Friday to the 300 block of Cahaba Forest Cove, said Deputy Chief David Agee. Once on the scene, they found a 32-year-old woman wounded. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Agee said the victim’s live-in boyfriend is in custody. Antoine Sentelle Spann, 42, is charged with attempted murder.Spann is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on $60,000 bond.
