Both incidents were captured on video by the complainant’s friend and the videos had since gone viral.
Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the sequence of events happened at about 2pm on Thursday.
“She told the woman she was using the device for her studies when the woman grabbed it and threw it on the road, damaging it,” he said in a statement yesterday. “Policemen arrived at the scene at that time and asked the complainant to lodge a report and told the woman to follow them to a police station for further action.“Suddenly, the woman grabbed a book and hit the complainant’s face with it,” he said.
