KAJANG: Police have arrested a woman for beating a college student with a book and damaging her mobile phone here on Thursday (Aug 3).

"We received a police report from the 20-year-old female college student who claimed that a woman in her 50s had approached her to borrow her mobile phone to make a call.

He said the complainant then asked the woman to take responsibility for damaging her mobile phone and they entered a shop nearby to discuss the matter. "The woman then suddenly grabbed a book and hit the complainant's face with it," he said, adding that both incidents were captured on video by the complainants friend and the videos have since gone viral."The suspect has been remanded for three days to assist further investigations.
