A 29-year-old local woman was arrested in connection with the abandonment of a baby girl in a restaurant in Kangar, Malaysia. Police are awaiting DNA test confirmation, but the suspect has admitted to discarding the baby. The baby is currently in stable condition at Hospital Tuanku Fauziah.

A 29-year-old local woman suspected of involvement in the disposal of a baby girl at a restaurant near Kampung Rama, Kuala Sanglang, on January 19th, was arrested by police at a house in Kangar yesterday. The woman, who resides with four young children, was apprehended at a house around the Simpang Empat area at approximately 2:55 am. Kangar District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yusharifuddin Mohd.

Yusop stated that initial investigations revealed that the suspect's husband was currently at a drug rehabilitation center. He added that the suspect admitted to discarding the baby, but police are awaiting DNA test confirmation. As a result, police seized a mobile phone, a SIM card, a memory card, scissors, brown, white bedspreads, and a sample of urine that the suspect had burned.
