Tragedy struck in Kluang yesterday afternoon when a car accident claimed the lives of a 32-year-old woman and her 35-week-old fetus. The accident involved a Perodua Myvi that crashed into a house wall after the driver lost control.
A 32-year-old woman and her 35-week-old fetus died following a car accident in Kluang yesterday afternoon. The accident occurred at 2:15 pm on Lorong Mohd Salim 1 in Kampung Melayu when Siti Aisyah Harun, who was driving a Perodua Myvi, lost control and crashed into a house wall. She was traveling from Kampung Melayu to Kluang town with another woman, Siti Aishah Rahimi, 28, also in the Perodua Myvi.
Siti Aisyah's brother, Ammar Harun, 30, reported to police at 4:11 pm today that Siti Aisyah's fetus had died and was removed from her womb at 8 pm last night. Siti Aisyah, who is Ammar's sister, also died at 2 pm today, about 24 hours after the accident, while receiving treatment at Hospital Enche Besar Hajjah Khalsom (HEBHK) Kluang. Siti Aishah Rahimi, who was also in the Perodua Myvi, sustained minor injuries to her left arm and a cut on her right forehead and received treatment at the same hospital. Initial investigations revealed that the victim did not have a driver's license, and the car has been moved from the scene of the accident. The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987
