When the stay-at-home order was first instituted, my schedule shifted drastically. I began to wake up around 11 a.m. each day and finished all my schoolwork in less than two hours. My newfound freedom should have been relaxing, but I felt more stressed than ever. Like many young people, I’d spent the past years working toward my goals by doing well in school and stacking my schedule with extracurriculars.
So, I’m trying to get back to that. I have realized that I am not a lover of classic books, but I do still enjoy reading. I am not the type of person that watches crime shows, but I love coming-of-age movies. I like to experiment with makeup looks and read mystery novels in the sunlight. And in this time I have realized that I am the type of person that enjoys keeping a journal because it reminds me that there is still so much to be grateful for. I know myself better now.
