"Then, I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute, and is there a way we can do something like that … by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see, it gets on the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs," he said at an April 2020 briefing."This was a tragedy on many levels," she said.
After the now-famous suggestion, she worked hard to correct the administration's course on the president's remarks, Birx said.
