New Jersey, which was tied with the Birmingham Stallions for the best regular season record at 9-1, fell to the Stars, 19-14, on Saturday in the USFL playoffs in Canton, Ohio. The loss also snapped the Generals’ nine-game winning streak. Philadelphia, which earned just its second win against an over-500 team this season, punched its tick to the USFL championship game next Saturday, where it will face the winners of Saturday’s night’s game between the Stallions and New Orleans Breakers.Luis Aguilar’s 39-yard field goal gave the Stars a 3-0 first-quarter lead. In the second quarter, Philadelphia took advantage of an Mazzi Wilkins interception of Luis Perez that was returned 83 yards to the 13-yard line.
