PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's decision to return as Umno president should not cause the party to lose focus, says Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's decision to return as Umno president should not cause the party to lose focus, says Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki ."His announcement to return as Umno president following his leave should not instigate new polemic among members, as it is aligned with the party constitution and his right as the legitimate party president," he said in a statement on Monday .
"As the Pakatan Harapan regime is chaotic and undergoing chronic internal upheavals, Umno must focus its efforts into defending the welfare of the rakyat, who are suffering under various Pakatan policies. "With strong unity, loyalty to the struggle's idealism, and putting the party's interests above personal interests, God willing, Umno can rise again for the rakyat and the beloved country!" he said.
