U Mobile today announced that it has doubled the data speed for its unlimited U Prepaid offerings. These include the U25, U35, U40, and U50 plans, with the
rollout available to subscribers starting today.
With this move, U Mobile U25 plan users can enjoy speeds of up to 6Mbps, double that of 3Mbps. At the same time, the FUP for it has also increased from 30GB to 40GB. Meanwhile, the U35 and U40 plans have their speeds increased from 6Mbps to 12Mbps, and the U50 plan now offers 24Mbps, up from 12Mbps. Unlike the U25 plan, the FUP limit for the three plans remains at 200GB, which U Mobile insist is still the highest in the market for their category.Despite these changes, the telco assured that pricing for all aforementioned U Prepaid plans are unchanged; coming in at RM25, RM35, RM40 and RM50 per month, respectively.
