Yoodo announced last month that it would be shutting down as its parent company, CelcomDigi, failed to secure a new owner within 18 months of the merger

between Celcom and Digi. The MNC will be discontinued from 29 August 2024 and it has just released details on how affected customers can move forward.

Firstly, the brand will stop accepting new signups from 19 June 2024. The app will disable the abilities to order or activate new SIMs except for replacement SIMs. Moreover, users won't be able to send invites to friends and the customised validity extension will no longer be offered. For existing users, the company is giving you three options; you can choose to port out to a different telco, terminate your account and your number, or continue your current plan with CelcomDigi. If you opt for the latter, you won't need to do anything as existing services will continue on the CelcomDigi network from 29 August onwards, with your existing subscription converted to CelcomDigi Prepaid 5G.

Any Yoodo credit balance you have can be used towards your CelcomDigi plan renewals. If you wish to port out or terminate your line instead, you will get a refund of your remaining credits. To get the refund, you have to fill out the refund form between 1 July to 29 August 2024. If you need more information, you can contact Yoodo through WhatsApp or its live chat on its website.
