East coast burger chain Shake Shack is opening two more restaurants in the Bay Area, with one in Sonoma County.

The Washington Post/The Washington Post/Getty ImagesThe popular East Coast burger chain has two more Bay Area restaurants in the works, with its newest location opening in Walnut Creek on Saturday. The latest store, at 1604 Mount Diablo Blvd., will become the East Bay’s second Shake Shack, behind Oakland, and the Bay Area’s 10th.

The Walnut Creek outpost is expected to be one of the larger Shake Shack restaurants in the region due to its two-level storefront. The new location's menu will include a Golden State Double cheeseburger; the chain’s homage to the Bay Area is made with double patties, cheddar cheese, pickles and smoked garlic aioli. The Walnut Creek restaurant will also offer temporary menu items, such as a white truffle burger and white truffle parmesan fries.
