The car burst into flames following the crash - with a back-seat passenger unable to escape.
The crash occurred on Menangle Road in Douglas Park about 4.20am on Monday.
It forced the closure of the road, with authorities warning traffic would be impacted for much of the morning.The ute travelling west and another vehicle travelling east collided head on in the eastbound lane at Douglas Park, 4km east of the Picton Rd intersection, NSW Police said. “The male driver of the westbound ute escaped; however, a back-seat passenger was unable to be released before the vehicle caught fire.The back passenger of a ute was unable to escape before it caught fire following a crash on Menangle Rd at Douglas Park.
