GEORGE TOWN : Police have confirmed that there were no criminal elements involved in the incident where a tourist fell from the seventh floor of a mall in the city. George Town OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rozak Muhammad stated that the 25-year-old foreign national who fell in the shopping center sustained head injuries but was conscious and transported to Penang Hospital. \Initial investigations revealed that the man is a tourist and is believed to have suffered head injuries as a result of the fall.

He was conscious and sent to Penang Hospital at approximately 2:20 pm. \We received a call at 1:55 pm regarding the incident. The caller informed us that a man had fallen from the seventh floor of the mall. Asst Comm Abdul Rozak urged the public to refrain from speculating about the incident, emphasizing that such assumptions could lead to issues and potentially anger the public. Earlier, the mall issued a statement confirming the incident, stating that a man had fallen and crashed into its Chinese New Year decorations. The incident was captured on camera by bystanders who were shocked to witness the roof of the decoration cave in and a man lying on the ground.
