WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. chipmaker Wolfspeed is set to receive $750 million in government grants for its new North Carolina silicon carbide wafer manufacturing plant facility, the U.S. Commerce Department said Tuesday.

KUALA LUMPUR : Four houses and a vehicle were damaged by the landslide that occurred in Taman Melawati here on Tuesday , says the Works Ministry.The roads affected by the landslide at 10.15am on Tuesday are Jalan E6 and Jalan G2 in Taman Melawati .

"Early investigations found that a clogged drainage system along Jalan G2 here caused excessive water to flow," he said in a statement on Tuesday. He also said the Public Works Department’s Slope Engineering Unit had issued a Danger alert for the Gombak and Hulu Langat Public Works Department at 4.37pm Monday to be on standby.

“The warning was also extended to representatives of the Ampang City Council on Monday. I have also ordered the Department’s Slope Engineering Unit to be at the site to gain more details on the incident,” he said. “I appeal for all residents to adhere to the authorities instructions in order to prevent any untowards incidents,” he added.
