A tiger that attacked livestock in Kampung Kolam, Tanjung Rambutan last month has returned to its habitat in Kinta Forest Reserve.

SUNGAI SIPUT: Jabatan Perlindungan Hidupan Liar dan Taman Negara Perak mendapati harimau belang yang dilaporkan menyerang ternakan penduduk di Kampung Kolam, Tanjung Rambutan bulan lalu, telah kembali semula ke habitatnya di Hutan Simpan Kinta.

Malah katanya, tiada aduan terbaru diterima berhubung kehadiran haiwan pemangsa itu di lokasi berkenaan. Menurut beliau, harimau itu dipercayai masuk ke kawasan kampung untuk memburu makanan berikutan populasi babi hutan yang berkurangan di hutan berhampiran akibat demam babi Afrika. “Penduduk kampung dinasihatkan supaya mengawasi dan tidak membiarkan haiwan ternakan berkeliaran terutama di lokasi kejadian,” katanya.
