SEREMBAN: Three people, including two juveniles, were charged separately at the Magistrate's Court here Monday (March 30) with violating the movement control order.
In the first case, 35-year-old S. Chandramogan who pleaded guilty to the charge was fined RM1,000 in default four months' jail.
He was charged under Rule 3 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act Regulations 2020.Magistrate V. Vanita also fined Chandramogan another RM1,500 in default four months' jail for failing to produce his MyKad when stopped by the authorities at the same place and time. Nur Atiqah Sapari and Norshazwani Ishak prosecuted while the accused was represented by Syed Fadzil Syed Shamsuddin from the Legal Aid Bureau.
