KUANTAN: The Pahang government is imposing stricter control measures in three districts due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
State secretary Datuk Seri Dr Sallehuddin Ishak said the district councils of Pekan, Jerantut and Raub were limiting operations of food outlets, including fast food restaurants.
"The number of Covid-19 cases in Jerantut and Pekan is the highest in Pahang and positive detections are still rising. Raub also has recorded a worrying transmission situation. "Thus, all food sales through takeaways in these districts must be stopped. Only deliveries are permitted," he said in a statement on Sunday .
Sallehuddin said this would go into effect on March 31 and last until the movement control order is rescinded. "The local authorities must take strict enforcement action to ensure this order is adhered to," he said.Article type: free
