Not long ago, our country, along with the rest of the world, was plagued by the Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in countless deaths. At that point, the government had acted by appointing health and medical personnel, on a contract basis, from private universities and colleges.

Now, many of them are allegedly losing their positions as we’ve learned to live with Covid-19, as shared by Frontliner Solidarity in a petition. “However, after the epidemic began to subside, the services of health and medical personnel appointed to this contract were no longer needed. Our services are being phased out. Where is the justice for us? A total of 1,271 officers have been terminated from the beginning of 2023 until now, and 1,889 officers will face the same this June,” they wrote.

They only want to be acknowledged for their contributions and to continue serving our country. “This call for solidarity is to welcome the wishes of the Ministry of Health in improving the quality of services to the public.
