The world’s best female soccer players have descended on Australia and New Zealand for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Kerr started playing for the Matildas at the age of 15, and has racked up more than 100 games for the national team. Putellas is the finest proponent of tiki-taka in the women’s game – her club Barcelona’s trademark tactical approach – characterised by quick, short passes, often in triangle formations, to maintain possession and dismantle defences.
When she’s not playing for her country, she plays in Spain for Barcelona, with her formidable teammate, Putellas .
