The alluring promise of these gloves is that you can maintain dexterity while enjoying the warmth you need. A battery pouch sits under your wrist with a button on top to turn the heating on . The glowing ring on the button, which turns blue, purple, and red as you crank up the heat, is eye-catching. The gloveswork well, quickly warming my hands. But I mainly felt the heat in my palm and up my index finger—if you’re in a windy environment, other parts of your hands can still feel very cold.
These are far from perfect. The high cost is off-putting, you need to charge the heavy battery every few hours , and there are prominent seams inside the gloves, so it’s not the most comfortable option. The app is also glitchy, sometimes falling to connect and occasionally crashing.
