Thai and Bruneian Foreign Ministers reiterate their trust in Malaysia's ability to lead ASEAN towards stability and address the ongoing Myanmar crisis. Both ministers met separately with Malaysian Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, during the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Langkawi.
LANGKAWI: Thailand dan Brunei meyakini kemampuan Malaysia selaku Pengerusi ASEAN 2025 termasuk menyelesaikan isu di Myanmar yang masih berlarutan sehingga hari ini.
Pertemuan tertutup di Pusat Konvensyen Antarabangsa Langkawi itu diadakan sempena Pemukiman Menteri Luar ASEAN yang membuka tirainya di sini, hari ini. Kedua-dua menteri bersetuju bahawa isu di Myanmar perlu diselesaikan dengan segera melalui pendekatan kesatuan dan berpusat dalam kalangan negara ASEAN lain.
Selain itu, kedua-dua pihak turut bersetuju dalam usaha memperkukuh kerjasama dalam sektor inovasi, tenaga, pendidikan, keselamatan makanan, logistik, telekomunikasi, pelancongan, dan kesihatan.
